Casuarina Playgroup

Our playgroups support parents of young children in their important role as the child’s first teacher. Playgroup supports families to create a wholesome, quality space for children to experience and grow in early childhood.

The playgroups are grounded in Steiner concepts of early childhood development providing opportunities for children to express their nature and their needs. Playgroups are a place for safe and peaceful play where parents form friendships. Much emphasis is put on the physical environment being one that is home like, where children can engage in homely activities. There are beautiful, natural, handmade play materials to inspire creative play amongst the children.

Children are offered a range of activities that included storytelling, songs and verses, bread making and both outside and inside creative play. A trained coordinator facilitates each playgroup.
